"There are three types of wedding photographer. Which one am I?

The High Energy Shooter - in everyone's face, centre of attention, making 'themselves' the star of 'your' day. Not me.

The Art Director - spending hours meticulously positioning every limb and object to create a hyper-stylised look. Not me either.

The Visual Storyteller - that's me.

As unobtrusively as possible, I capture your day exactly as it unfolds. With a calm presence, gentle posing cues and a knack for efficiently (and cheerfully) rounding up families for group shots, my job is simple: to document the love, laughter and story of your day as naturally as possible.

With sixteen years as a full-time photographer, and over 1000 weddings behind me, I've worked in just about every setting imaginable - mountainsides, stately mansions, castles, boats, trains, beaches, Italian villas, tipis and more barns than I can count. New surroundings never phase me, and I'll work with whatever light and weather is thrown my way.

And, with over thirty years of mountaineering experience, I've become a pretty decent amateur weather forecaster too - which means wild rustic days are very much my natural habitat.

Based in the Lake District, I cover weddings across the UK, with a particular focus on Cumbria, Northumberland, Newcastle, the North East and North West, the Scottish Borders and Hampshire (and surrounding counties, where my family live).
